Hertfordshire Reciprocal Golf

DDGC has reached agreement with the following golf clubs, in Hertfordshire, to offer our members reduced cost green fees at a rate of £22.50 This arrangement is for mid week only and excludes bank holidays. Together with the exclusive 1906 club &  The James Braid Society DDGC can now rightly say that it offers the most comprehensive reciprocal golf arrangements in the area at some of the countries very best golf courses.

The Colts and County Championship

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Congratulations to all of the Dunstable Downs who took part in the County Championships.
This year the Championships were held at The Bedford G C on the weekend of 5th/6th June.
A total of 46 players took part in this years County & Colts Championship. The course amateur record of 67 was equaled by Gavin Samuels, of Leighton Buzzard G C who went on to win both the County & Colt Championships with a score of 283, 5 under par.
Robert Sutton of Dunstable Downs G C came second, in both the County & Colts Championships with a score of 284, 4 under par.
Andy Taylor from South Beds was in third place on 290 while Chris Spooner, again of Dunstable Downs, took Fourth place on 291.

Played for on the Saturday of the Championships where participating players select teams of three from their club to enter the County Club Championship, all scores count (6 rounds). This years Champions are Dunstable Downs G.C. with a 6 round score 430, 2 under par.
Chris Spooner,  Rob and Phil Sutton will represent the County at the EGU Champion Club event to be held this year at the Woodbridge G.C. Suffolk, on 11th & 12th September 2010.

Brabazon Trophy

Congratulations to Rob Sutton who has just qualified for the Brabazon Trophy ( English Amateur Open ) after a thrilling 12 man play off at Huddersfield GC . This years Championships are being played at Royal Liverpool GC ( Hoylake ) between 24 -27 June 2010.
