First Fiddle Format was a great success

Having enjoyed 4 days of wall to wall sunshine the juniors had to brave much colder weather in this their first fiddle of the season. Eleven juniors entered with some very impressive scoring throughout. “I am keen to get everyone playing together and not just with their close friends” said Junior Organiser John Winter. He added “The fiddle format allows everyone to mix and the younger players can learn from their older peers” The winner of the first event was John Wright who scored 24 points. (Handicap secretary please take note) Captain Tom Howson was 2nd with Robert Moseley & Ryan Smith 3rd.

But it was much more than the golf, It was a good turnout for the first event and we are hoping that more juniors enter next time. Nothing has been ruled out and even  foursomes has been suggested as a way of mixing it up. The next event in 2 weeks time will be a tad tougher for the winner, John Wright, who will carry a 3 shot deduction

The Junior Fiddle was played again last night (Tuesday 10th) and, considering many of the juniors had mock-exams and Sats, was well attended with 9 playing.
The bottom 10 was played and the winner, with an impressive 21 points, was Ryan Smith.
    Other scores will be notified.
