Ryan Craig & Robert Moseley represented DDGC for the first time in the Tavistock Trophy for DDGC. And they were not overawed with both players beating the net par of the course and their points contributed to the final team performance. On a warm and windy day the conditions could not have been more difficult and only 1 other player, from Chalgrave, played below their handicap. But this competition has a gross element to it too and the teams from John O Gaunt & South Beds are blessed with some Category 1 players that made the overall result predictable

But it was a good day. We have more players now with match experience and with the handicaps tumbling we will be in a  very strong position in next year’s competition. It is not a closed shop and we are now planning to blood more new players in the final Tavistock match of the season…  so keep practicing
