4 DDGC Junior members waved the flag at the recent Bedfordshire Schools 9 hole rookie competition played at South Beds Golf Club
Jonathan Wyllie carded a gross 44 strokes and scored 24 stableford points for the 9 Hole competition and WON the Years 7/8 category. He picks up a BSGA winners medal and…wait for it…a voucher that entitles him to a playing lesson with Darren Charlton.
Max Perry was a credible 3rd place in the year 7/8 sector
New junior member Matt Crossley won the Year 10 section with 32 stableford points
New junior member Adam Lewis was the overall winner with an impressive 35 points after 9 holes!
I know that the Chairman of Handicaps & Steve Harris is looking forward to meeting all 4 of these players!
This was an extremely well run event with over 46 young and enthusiastic boys and girls competing. It is encouraging to see the winners names coming from the DDGC squad and bodes well for the future of our junior section. Well played ALL.
