Although it was not a full field this year, 22 visiting clubs were represented. The weather cooperated for us on Monday, 11th July when the Ladies Open was held at DDGC.  It proved to be a successful day for Carol Mitchell and Stephanie Howlett from Mentmore Golf Club who were winners of the Four Ball Better Ball Stableford competition.  In the afternoon, the winners of the 10 hole Greensomes Stableford were Jo Evans and Jacky Levinson from Caddington Golf Club.  Some of the ladies had an interesting couple of hours spotting balls and assisting with measuring on the 9th.  The shortest hole on the course was the scene of the contest for nearest the pin – it often seemed longer than it looked.  Jill Hubbard (Mount Pleasant Golf Club) won with a shot within 16 inches of the pin.  Many thanks to all those who helped to make this a memorable day.  Link to Photos and full results
