Ashridge have asked us to play this match as a foursome event. For many, this will be the first time you have played this format. In the bye gone days it was the most prevalent format and allowed 4 people to get a round the course pretty quickly. It is enjoyable but you must have a very supportive partner. If you remember that nobody plans to hit a bad shot on purpose, then you will be fine.
The foursomes format? You only play 1 ball between you. You drive, your partner takes your next shot, you then take the next shot etc. Its a different format to play and I guarantee there will be lots of, “I’m sorry” heard across the course. But enjoy the day and the experience.
As you would have expected, this event has been massively oversubscribed and I am pleased to see 2 more players from the DDGC squad gain real match experience
Tom Howson 15 & John Wright 20
Brandon Black 7 & Alex Tipping 17
Luke Bisset 18 & Alex Winter 27
Ryan Craig 24 & Brad Howard 26
Sam Harris 27 & Ashley Easton 27
Charlie Draper 26 & George Hewitt 34
Reserves: Robert Moseley 27 & Elliot Roch 10
