DDGC juniors did themselves proud on Sunday with a battling 3 ½ – 3 ½ away draw in the first leg of the Ver Plate final at Redbourn on Sunday. Playing against an excellent Redbourn team, their top 4 players all with a handicap of 5, nearly all the matches went to the last couple of holes with Brandon Black, Luke Bissett and John Wright all closing out their games for terrific wins. Ryan Smith played steadily and earned a valuable half point to ensure the match is all square with our home tie to come on the 9^th October.
