Well they say that practice makes perfect and Jonathan Wyllie is living proof that this is true. Jonathan had been hitting a run of form recently having won a Bedfordshire Schools competition (with partner George Hewitt) and had a good medal round but even Jonathan couldn’t believe how well he was playing in the Saturday stableford.
I caught up with Jonathan on the 16th tee and he (and his playing partners too) could not wipe the smiles off their faces. He knew then that he had a good score but to end up with…wait for it…48 points was beyond even his expectations.
The Handicap Committee have quickly got to grips with him and Jonathan will now be playing off 19.
A great result, well deserved and keep it going
