Is that driver positively driving you mad or is that 58 degree lob just a wedgie too far? Well now you can offer your prized or not so prized golfing equipment to your fellow DDGC members and everyone’s quid’s in.
You’ve all heard of ebay, well welcome to Dunstable Downs’ own equivalent ‘dBay’ where members can sell their golfing equipment to their fellow members through the website and through Darren in the pro shop.
The selling procedure is a little different from the existing online giant in that Darren will put the amount raised through the sale on that member’s account in the pro shop, that can then be spent in the shop in the future. Similar to the way he handles members’ competition winnings. The club will take a 10% commission on the sale.
All you need to do is bring your old driver or power trolley into the pro shop where Darren will photograph and value it. He will then place it on dBay and wait for it to be sold. Darren does reserve the right to refuse that little item he may believe has more sentimental than monetary value.
