This web site is your tool as a Dunstable Downs Golf Club member to obtain the information you need concerning the club, its course and facilities.

For Members we aim to bring the Club’s Notice Boards into your homes providing up to date information about Club news, competitions and social events. We also aim to provide up to date information about what Dunstable Downs Golf Club has to offer its dedicated membership.

Apart from information about club competitions, committee and club officers’ contact details as well as an important feedback and suggestions section where your comments about the course and club will be sent to the right person for the appropriate action, we are also excited about linking the membership pages to the club’s swipecard system. This means that each member, through his or her own login details (which you can achieve by logging in online), can view their playing history, handicap as well carry out a number of other functions including print off their handicap certificate.

For your peace of mind, the GCGold server on the Club’s network uploads relatively non-sensitive data (competition results, handicap records etc…) directly to the known static IP address of the GCGold Web Server which is housed in a very secure environment. This upload mechanism is strongly encrypted and is tightly policed by a firewall. Whenever the Web Server is requested to provide ‘live’ information directly from the Club’s GCGold server (account balances, real-time handicap certificate etc…), it does so using a dynamic call-back mechanism on an obscure port (that may be known only by the Club and the Server) and, by definition, the call-back originates from exactly the same known IP address. This, again, is tightly policed by a firewall.  All such messaging is CRC checked for integrity and the originating address is checked for spoofing.
