COURSE REPORT – NOV / DEC  2011

GREENS

Greens sprayed with fungicide at the end of November and with a wetting agent.
Sulphate of iron sprayed in December.
The bunkers at the 9th hole have had the old turf removed with partial sand removed, then bunker lips reshaped with top soil firmed and returfed.
The self seeded Hawthorn trees have been removed from the 10th Del and two Beech trees have also been removed from behind the 9th green.
Dead trees and ivy have been cut at the 9th dell with some ivy also being cut back on the left hand side of the 9th path around the 9th tee and along the edge of the 10th path up to behind the ladies 10th tee.
Winter greens cut and are marked GUR .
Greens cut as and when required.
All greens aerated using Pro Core machine in December.

TEES
Tees are being mown as and when required.
The par 3’s have been divoted.

FAIRWAYS

We are now playing winter rules and preferred lies are now in use when landing on the fairway.

SEMI ROUGH

Semi rough mown at 2nd, 3rd, 10th, 14th, 15th, 16th and 17th holes

MISCELLANOUS WORK

All steps sanded.

Aprons white lined.

Leaves and branches collected at 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th holes.

Aprons cut.

Bins and ball washers done.

We borrowed a Flail mower from one of the grass machinery company’s and cut the rough on the left hand side and right hand side of the 1st hole.

Also self seeding Hawthorn bushes cut down on both side of the 1st hole.
