The Club’s practice facilities are open to anyone who has paid a green fee. For those wishing to work on their short game, there is a large putting green that has been specially prepared to complement the subtle borrows of the greens on the course.
A ‘short game’ area is also available for golfers looking to perfect those round saving ‘up and downs’ and sand saves.
The long game is not overlooked either, with covered driving bays and a practice fairway on ‘the bottom field’ accessible to those looking to work on this side of their game
For those who find time is at a premium, there are practice nets by the 1st tee that affords the opportunity to quickly loosen up before beginning a round.

British golf is blessed with enormous strength in depth, and Dunstable Downs have much to offer. I thoroughly enjoyed my round at Dunstable Downs and a bite to eat in the friendly clubhouse afterwards. It reminded me that we shouldn’t only seek out the big names as there are so many hidden gems all around us.
Designed by the great James Braid, it runs over higher ground in the south of the county. The front nine is home to both of the long holes as well as three of the four par 3s while the back is made up of eight straight par 4s before ending with the final short hole, which is protected by no fewer than ten bunkers.
